Driving from Calgary to Toronto..Is it worth it?

I have a 1996 Honda civic car...the mileage is 181 so not bad. We CANT go through the Sates because my husband is a permanent residence of Canada so I don't want to go through all the hassle for visa and stuff.I know its a longer drive but oh well! What cities do we have to pass by. And is it really worth it to drive to Toronto from Calgary? Not talking about the money..but like is there a lot to see and stuff? We wiling to drive 12 hours per day (including stop overs for food/washroom) We only want to drive from sunrise to sunset. I prefer not driving during night time. Any advise would help. Thanks a lot.
