Is this the right thing to do with my ex girlfrend?

my ex girlfriend broke up with me..she wasnt ready for anything serious yet.. it was a clean break up, but i still have feelings for her..im respecting her time, and her space, but at the same time i want her back, so i decided to make her miss me a little bit. So i dont contact her unless she contacts me and im sticking with that.Will that backfire? Should i just break away completely?..we still hang from time to time, and we still have a lot of feeling for each other... shes 19.. im 21.
